Meet our Instructors
Mike Wood, Nidan, received his Shodan after completing the 21st International Senshusei Program at the Yoshinkan Hombu Dojo in Tokyo, Japan. Mike has been studying Yoshinkan Aikido since 2010, when he began training with David Fryberger Sensei in Los Angeles, CA. Mike received his Nidan (2nd degree black belt) in 2015 after passing an exam held by Nic Mills-sensei at Sendokan dojo in Toronto Canada.
Sean Gray started to study Yoshinkan Aikido in 2008 in St.Petersburg at Club Sutemi (Seibukan) in the Russian Federation under the direction of Chief Instructor Rustam Karimov (5th Dan). He has taken part in numerous seminars with instructors such as Ando Tsuneo, Sonoda Takehiko, Higa Ryoichiro, Kenji Nakazawa and Yasuhisa Shioda. In 2013, after 5 years of training, he received his first Dan, after successfully passing a shinsa held by Sonoda Takehiko (8th Dan). In 2015 Sean achieved the rank of Nidan (2nd degree black belt) after passing an exam held by Nic Mills-sensei at Sendokan dojo in Toronto Canada.
